   Pacific/Hoe has played an important role in pioneering the use of carbide tips in wood-cutting saw blades. Our years of experience in saw manufacturing have lead to the development of a full-range of cutting tools specifically designed for all varieties of cutting conditions and materials. At Pacific/Hoe you can choose the exact tip for your cutting needs without compromise.

   We are offering improved alloy quality and tighter manufacturing tolerances for the cobalt tungsten carbide along with the new nickel tungsten carbide. In addition, our STELLITE(tm) tips provide a third option in cutting materials.

   Pacific/Hoe offers an extremely broad range of tips, strips and blanks. Our goal is to fill each order accurately and quickly. Naturally from time to time we may be temporarily out of stock in some particular item. If that is the case, you can count on us to let you know immediately. Your salesperson can help you identify pieces that require special orders or unusual lead times.

ACCU-GROUND CUTTING TIPS

   A large part of Pacific/Hoe's pioneering contribution to the development of effective carbide tipped saws has been the introduction of the Accu-Ground system. Pacific/Hoe introduced the Accu- Ground brazing system to the wood products industry more than a decade ago. This patented process combines precision Accu-Ground tips and strips and the Pacific/Hoe brazing fixture to provide for reliable accuracy in saw tip replacement. The system has permitted saw filers to minimize turnaround times for top quality saw maintenance without expensive grinding equipment.

   Our carbide edger tips are available Accu-Ground or unground. All of our Accu-Ground carbide tips are precisely ground with a radial clearance (top to bottom) of 1-1/2 degrees and a tangential clearance (front to back) of 3 degrees per side. Through very careful and thorough testing we have found that these angles are ideal for rip sawing applications. Our Pacific/Hoe Accu-Ground carbide tipping fixture has been designed to accommodate these angles.

ACCU-GROUND BRAZING FIXTURES

   The patented Pacific/Hoe Accu-Ground brazing fixture is the perfect compliment to our Accu-Ground tips and strips. It provides a simple but very accurate method for replacing a few saw tips or for retipping your carbide saws.

   In most instances you can save up to 75% of your retipping time using Accu-Ground tips and the Accu-Ground brazing fixture because tip grinding is completely eliminated. The Accu-Ground brazing fixture speeds the process by accurately positioning the tip on the saw blade for brazing.

   If you own strob saws, we offer the Accu-Ground Strob attachment that enables you to replace worn strips with the same ease. The strob attachment can be purchased with the brazing fixture as an option at a later date.

PRETINNED TIPS, STRIPS AND BLANKS

   Most of our tips, strips and blanks are available pretinned or untinned. We recommend the pretinned products for several reasons:

   The care in application of the silver solder is identical to the work we do on finished blades at our manufacturing plants. You get consistent quality without the need for ordering and inventorying silver solder along with your strips and blanks.
